ADCE has extensive experience of the full span of new product development activities. From requirements definition and concept creation; through detailed design, analysis and testing; to manufacturing transfer and scale-up. We can also provide Project Management and other supporting services for technical development projects. On the commercial side, we can advise and support with funding applications and proposals and with preparing project plans.
We regularly work under ISO 13485 Quality Management Systems.

We can work fully-embedded within our customers’ facilities and systems to provide direct, ongoing support to their development projects. We can leverage commercially-available facilities and equipment to achieve the aims and objectives of individual, specific projects. Matt has a strong grounding in engineering fundamentals and extensive experience of new product development in Life Science markets which gives him a unique perspective to deliver effective technical solutions to complex problems.
He has over 20 years of Engineering Consultancy experience across a variety of sectors. He initially worked in the Defence / Automotive and Consumer Products fields, before moving into Life Sciences.
He has worked on the development and delivery of a wide range of complex systems: drug delivery devices, optical products, in-vitro diagnostic systems, microfluidic devices, individual cell manipulation systems, and cell & gene therapy platforms.
In cooperation with customers and suppliers, he helps develop both instruments and consumables from concept to commercial release, bringing new technologies and expertise to address market needs.
Over the last 7 years he has worked on a number of Cell & Gene Therapy systems, most recently helping to bring an automated manufacturing platform towards market launch.
ADCE is based in both the UK (Cambridge) and the USA (Colorado).
